Our rig at Kidman's Camp on the morning of our departure

We left Kidman Camp at Bourke around 8:45am and followed the Mitchell Highway and the Warrego River through North West NSW to cross the border into Queensland, and arrived at Charleville at 4pm.

Our lunch stop was Cunnamulla, a small attractive town.

Our lunch stop was the small NSW town of Cunnamulla for lunch. A feature of the town is a big sculpture of the Cunnamulla Fella sitting on his swag with a stock whip by his side. The laconic stockman was immortalised in a song composed by Stan Coster and Slim Dusty.

A gallery follows of some photos of of the town and the statue of the  Cunnamulla Fella.

Charleville caravan park was a popular place with many vans packed tightly together once again we were entertained at happy hour by a local artist singing favourite songs requested by the "recycled teenagers"
